Igloo and penguins

Mommy T called me and requested a bespoke Winter themed cake with Penguins . So I set about thinking of all things about cold faraway places and came up with the igloo and Penguins surrounded by snow and falling snow flakes and of course - Penguins with winter wear (scarf, earmuffs etc..).  Of course, like everything else we make at Joyous Cake Company - the cake must first and foremost - taste lip smacking great!  Not only do our cakes look nice, they MUST taste great.Our chocolate cakes such as this chocolate fudge cake is made with Premium Cocoa Berry Dark chocolate coins and cocoa powder and then lovingly coating the yummy cake with layers of rich dark chocolate ganache to achieve the desired Joyous taste we are known for!

A mother's love

Mommy M shares the same birthday as her precious son Ayden. . The loving Mother asked us to make a cake to show the loving bonds between mother and child and she requested that the bespoke cake came with mother n son figurines . This request was challenging to me and I decided to reflect on the love I have for my own children to come up with this cake (whic is close to my heart).  I proceeded to make a Bailey's chocolate cake (the cake is meant for mommy and her adult friends) with which I added glittering white hearts which is meant to convey the pure and unconditional love a mother has for her children.  Hmm .... I should actually make one for myself! ;P

Mickey & friends car Cake

Mommy M ordered 2 cakes from me for her birthday(see next post!) n her son Ayden's birthday as they share same birthday! The dedicated mother wanted a Automobile themed cake coupled with her sons favorite Mickey Mouse and gang hence this car workshop/gas station and colorful approach to the cake makes the cake lively and coveys a sense of fun and celebration.  The chocolate ganache coated chocolate fudge cake made the most of the wonderful chocolate flavors that only Cacao Berry ingredients can achieve to deliver chocoholics their little slice of heaven!

Angry birds cupcakes

Mommy Z ordered 36 2D angry birds cupcakes for her son's 3rd birthday celebration at school . She didn't specify which birds or pigs to mold so I made a variety of them . I had fun making those pigs ! They looked so annoying yet cute !

Baby TV cake

Mommy S ordered this baby TV themed cake for her baby's big birthday celebration at Botanic gardens. The Characters that best represented Baby TV were included and designed with the dedicated mother's inputs. I made the bottom tier to look like a TVscreen, movie theatre and Ipad with all screens showing Baby TV shows to keep the Baby TV theme running throughout the cake.  The mommy also ordered cupcakes to compliment the cake for extra oomph! Naturally the cupcakes too had Baby TV themes!  I received many compliments about the cake and I am most proud of the fact that everyone has so far complimented my cakes not only because of the design - but also because of the great taste and texture of my cakes and cupcakes!  I am proud not to have let any of my clients down and to play a part in making their special day - a WONDERFUL, HAPPY, and YUMMY DAY! :)

Daisy Flower Cake

My daughter has been changing her mind about her 5 years old birthday cake. She has considered Tinker bell, Hello Kitty, Barbie, etc. etc. Finally just about a week before her birthday, she told me she wants an 'adult' cake, which means: Cake without cartoons! (because she is a 'big gal' already).. I thought about it and came out with this colorful daisy cake for her. This is something new that I try, flowers cake. I've been wanted to make flowers cake as they are lovely and can be used in lots of wedding cake designs as well.
Here it is, I made it a more colorful one instead of just white daisies which was my initial idea. After all, it's a cake for a 5 year old little gal.

Skylanders Cake (computer game)

 

Mommy L ordered this cake for her 7 yo boy who is intensely in love with this game..it's like the 'IN' game among the boys. Mommy L prepared a lot of data for me to refer to...e.g. what are  the elements and what's the shape of the symbols on different sides of the portal.. Initially I couldn't get the fondant color right but finally managed to do it and I enjoyed carving the stone portal!
